Hi there, nice to meet you. My name is Shana. I am 29 years old and live in the US. I am currently pregnant with my first child, who is due on May 24, 2001. My husband and I had been trying to conceive for over four years, so to say that I am excited about being pregnant is a bit of an understatement. We have been seeing a fertility specialist for over a year. After several unsuccessful tries with less high-tech techniques, we decided to take the plunge and try the big gun of fertility treatment, IVF (in vitro fertilization). Our very first IVF procedure was effective, and on September 14, 2000, we found out that I am pregnant. The easy part, getting pregnant, is finally over. We've now embarked on the biggest journey of our lives: pregnancy and parenthood.
